This place is A M A Z I N G! Had such a welcoming feeling when I first arrived, the room was spacious, beautiful, many... funny details (it was like finding Easter eggs) and Anna&Siggi are probably the best hosts you'll ever meet. The surroundings are also beautiful, as they say on their website, it seemed like a paradise on earth for me as well. When I visit Niceland again, I'll definitely want to stay here! I highly recommend this place, I consider myself lucky to have chosen to stay here!read more

We stayed here for 1 night in late March and I was blown away by The Garage. We were greeted with warm sticky buns at... check in. The hostess was also kind enough to let us use the dryer for our clothes. The grounds were stunning and my husband spent the afternoon hiking towards and above the falls on property while I relaxed and warmed up with the children inside. The common area has a large selection of books and games to borrow as well as sleds if the kids want to go down the hill. The email we received before check in indicated the room would only have the cooking basics in house but we were pleasantly surprised with how well stocked our kitchen was and then there was an area from previous guests who left food items behind that you could help yourself too. It was more then enough. Overall I just loved this hotel. It was cozy and welcoming. I wish we had stayed here longer!read more

Ik kan alles aanraden. Nette appartementen met alle voorzieningen. Mooie woon slaapkamer en zeer nette badkamer. Schone... bedden en iedere dag schone handdoeken. Leuk ingericht en een geweldig uitzicht op het meer. ‘S morgens en ‘s avonds helemaal geweldig. Ligging perfect bij heel veel mooie en interessante bezienswaardigheden. De eigenaren ook zeer aardig en behulpzaam. Geven je graag goede adviezen om leuke bezienswaardigheden te bezoeken. Geweldige tip gegeven om waar en wanneer op jacht te gaan naar Noorderlicht. En ook nog gevonden.read more

Spent one week in Iceland, staying two nights at The Garage. I highly recommend making this a stop on your journey... around the island on the ring highway: comfortable rooms, quiet location, friendly family staff, fantastic common area and many other great attributes. We stayed at The Garage for our honeymoon, and had the most incredible time. The rooms were so cozy and the bed was so... comfortable (I think I may have crossed over to the soft mattress side of life!). The bathroom floor was heated, which was incredible, and the kitchenette served us perfectly for the couple of meals that we cooked ourselves. Anna and Siggi were wonderful hosts, and so kindly made us baked goods to return home to every day - really appreciated after long days of exploring. The surroundings were absolutely stunning too. I would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended :)read more

Such an amazing place - the apartment was lovely, beautifully decorated and super cozy and had everything you'd need.... Views from the apartment were breathtaking and, at night, it's so dark it's perfect for seeing the northern lights (which we were lucky enough to catch). Anna and Siggi were fantastic hosts, we especially enjoyed the home made cake that Anna presented us with. The Garage may be a bit of a drive from the airport but I promise you it's absolutely worth it.read more

If I ever come back to Iceland, I've decided that it would be almost impossible for me not to come back here again.... This place is extraordinarily beautiful; from the horses and sheep that usher you in, to the waterfall set back on the property. The owners and their family are wonderful and made us feel at home. Right away they told us we were welcome to hike the grounds, visit the animals, and that they had a garden bounty to share. Everyday there was a new and delicious homemade treat waiting for us in our room. We stayed in the Cowhouse which is so beautifully decorated and built, I wish I could make my home look the same. HIGHLY recommend staying here for a night or many more!read more

The accomodation was spectacular! Every need that a traveller might have is catered to. The kitchenette is also fully... equipped with everything I needed to make a meal. The studio apartment is clean, modern, cosy and very comfortable. I liked how the owners have put in so much thought and effort into the deco of the studio apartment. I was especially pleased with the bathroom. It is very clean and spacious. The accomodation is located at a very convenient part of South Iceland. I had the privilege to stay with them on New Year's Eve and the extremely warm and friendly owners invited us to a bonfire and fireworks party nearby. I would definitely come back to stay again!read more
