There you can buy fish and chips, very good one they say.&nbsp; It is open sometimes and sometimes not.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To east, in\nthe town Vik (35 km), there are at least 5 restaurants and to west, in the town\nHvolsv\u00f6llur (30 km) and nearby, there are also 3 restaurants.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In these towns are also grocery stores, KR and Kronan, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kronan.is\">www.kronan.is<\/a> and liquer store <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vinbudin.is\">www.vinbudin.is<\/a>, and excuse us wine and beer is very expensive in Iceland and the stores are not open the whole day. If you possible can buy your wine\/beverage in the duty free coming to Iceland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About 6\nkilometers to east, there is a mini market, called \u201eHeimamenn\u201c &nbsp;opening hours from 10.00-18.00, every day.&nbsp; There you can also get a cup of coffee and\ncroissant in the morning, simple cheap lunch or the famous hot dog, mentioned\nearlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If\neverything is closed and you can\u00b4t get anywhere (can happen in the wintertime),\njust come over to our house, we always have something to eat on our stove or in\nthe fridge and freezer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Traveling in Iceland:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Traveling in\nIceland, especially in the winter time, you have to take a due notice af the\nweather here in this area, there can be heavy storm during the winter time up\nto 60 m\/sec, snowstorm and slippery roads, so take care.<br>\nWebsites:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Icelandic Met office <a href=\"http:\/\/www.en.vedur.is\">www.en.vedur.is<\/a> &nbsp;(the english version)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information about safety traveling&nbsp; in Iceland.
